How to check a delivery address before submitting a parcel

Check the address format, apartment number and carrier restrictions before the warehouse prints the label.

Start with the destination postal operator’s address format. The Universal Postal Union provides country-specific addressing guidance, and field order varies across destinations. Use that guidance to check the locality, region and postcode fields that apply to your address. Copy the recipient and street details from a record you trust. Check the details that distinguish your door

Compare the house number, street name and any apartment or suite number with the original address. For example, a U.S. apartment address could include APT 4B. Check that the shipping label preview includes the apartment or suite number. If the form asks for a phone number, check its country code as well. Check the route before you submit

If the destination is a post office box, parcel locker or collection point, ask whether the selected carrier and service accept that address type. Then read the final preview as a whole and check that every line is visible. A saved address may have been copied into fields that follow a different format.

If you spot a mistake after submission

Contact the agent through your order or parcel record with the parcel reference, the incorrect field and the corrected address. Ask whether the label has been printed or the parcel handed over, and whether an amendment is still available for that service. Keep the address in private support messages. For the next step after handover, see how to read the tracking status.
