Compare what you pay today with what might be credited later, using the same parcel and the same currency.

A shipping coupon can change the amount shown at checkout. A rebate may require a later application and may be credited to an account balance. Read the terms for the specific offer, then record what you must pay now and what you could receive later in separate columns.
Use the same parcel on both sides
Keep the route, parcel dimensions, billable weight, destination and currency the same. Capture the final checkout amount before and after selecting the offer. Check the minimum charge, discount cap, eligible shipping routes, deadline and whether packaging or protection fees qualify. Worked example. Suppose checkout is ¥240. One option reduces the charge to ¥210 immediately. A second option still charges ¥240 and offers a potential ¥40 account credit after delivery. The first saves ¥30 today. The second can have a greater nominal benefit if you qualify and use the credit later, while it still requires the full ¥240 up front.
